Huntley Meadows Park (Dew on the Spotted Jewelweed Plant)

I have been looking for the right opportunity to get these Dew shots on plants. I think these are the best photos of early morning Dew that I have taken in my entire thirty years of photography. It seems as though the right elements of conditions came together at one moment in time. These Spotted Jewelweed plants are among the most photogenic plants and are the perfect canvas for dew with its bright colors. The sun was in the perfect location inorder to get the light and shadow to project the dew droplets on the plants. I hope you enjoy the photos. Taken 9/7/2013 The plants scientific name is (Imaptiens capsensis)

Hummingbirds Feeding at Huntley Meadows Park

Hummingbirds in the summer feeding in a wild flower garden of Honeysuckle vine flowers and Trumpet vine flowers giving the feeding hummingbirds plenty of food to live on. These shots are of many different perspectives and show Ruby-throated Hummingbirds from different feeding positions. I have been fortunate to be able to capture these birds over several weeks on during the weekends on my days off from work. It is always a magical experience photographing these beautiful Hummingbirds.
