Update to the Roosevelt Island Bald Eagles nest season.
I have been watching along the river near this Bald Eagle nest site for the past several months and finally got a photo of the new juveniles from this nest site. It has been a long wait but worth the wait.
First saw an eagle checking that area out in the fall of 2010, great to see that a nest was built and there are off-spring (assuming its on the island?). Saw one of the adults flying over the foot bridge from the Pentagon to Columbia Island yesterday.
